WHO IS WAYPOINT

A waypoint is a marker along a journey, a place that helps guide you, re-centre you, and move you forward. It’s not the final destination, but it matters because it helps you keep going in the right direction.

We believe this is at the centre of who we are. Just as Jesus came to seek and reach people, we want to be a church that does the same, looking outward, making space, and helping people take steps towards Him.

Waypoint is a church rooted in the Boothferry Estate, with a heart to serve and be part of the community around us. We believe church isn’t just something you attend, it’s something that’s lived out in everyday life, in real relationships, and in the places we’re already part of.

We’re here for people from all walks of life. Whether you’ve been part of church before, have questions about faith, or wouldn’t normally step into a church space, you are genuinely welcome here. You don’t need to have everything figured out, we’re all on a journey, and there’s space for you within it.

At the centre of everything we do is a simple desire: to help people find Jesus and walk with Him. We believe that following Jesus isn’t about perfection or having all the answers, but about discovering a new way to live, one shaped by grace, purpose, and hope.

We want to create spaces where people feel comfortable to explore faith in a way that makes sense to them. Spaces where questions are welcomed, where conversations are honest, and where people can encounter something real. Whether that’s through gatherings, time spent in the community, or supporting people in practical ways, our heart is to be present and available.

Being part of the Boothferry Estate matters deeply to us. We want to support people, build meaningful relationships, and play a part in seeing our community thrive.

That looks like showing up, listening, and walking alongside people in both the good moments and the challenging ones.

As a church, we value community, authenticity, and growing together. We believe faith is something to be lived out, not just on Sundays, but in everyday life.
