WHAT WE BELIVE

We believe the Bible is the inspired and unchanging Word of God, without error, and our foundation for faith, life, and following Jesus.

We believe the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, is God and is at work in people’s lives, helping us turn to God, grow in faith, and live more like Jesus. We believe believers can be filled and empowered through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with spiritual gifts and signs following, to help serve the Church, worship God, and share the hope of Jesus with others.

We believe all believers are united together in Christ as one Church, the Body of Christ, and that every follower of Jesus has a part to play in worship, prayer, serving, and sharing the hope of the Gospel.

We believe the Gospel speaks to every part of life and that the Church is called to share the hope of Jesus with the world. We also believe God brings healing, freedom, and restoration, and that the Church is called to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical needs of people.

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, working together in creation, salvation, and throughout every part of life.

We believe that since the Fall, all people have sinned and are separated from God, needing His forgiveness, grace, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe in the ministries that Christ has set in His Church, including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to help equip, encourage, and build up His people. We also believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today, according to the New Testament, and are given to strengthen the Church and serve others.

We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. We believe in His sinless life, His death and resurrection, His return to heaven, and His promised return again to receive His Church.

We believe salvation is found through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, made right with God by His grace, and called to live lives that reflect His love and transformation through the Fruit of the Spirit.

We believe in the baptism of believers in water, in obedience to the command of Christ.

We also believe in remembering and proclaiming Christ’s death and sacrifice through the sharing of Communion (the Lord’s Supper) until He returns again.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgement of the world. We believe those who trust in Jesus will experience eternal life with Him, while those who reject Him remain separated from God.
